Born out of a 25-year legacy College Admissions business founded in Princeton NJ, AKALA understands the crucial role counselors play in helping students reach the college of their dreams.
Our services have been traditionally only accessible by the celebrities, business moguls and the uber-affluent. With rates as high as $750 per hour, and with almost all of our students attending top-25 universities, we realized that very few companies can claim our level of success and yet few people can afford our rates. So the question became: What if we created a system that gave EVERYONE access to our level of expertise?
At its core, the platform is a blended model: It is part technology and part one-on-one consulting. We solve 90% of the college admissions battle with our tech and fill in the remaining 10% with the best private college counselors in the world. The result is an intensely personalized pathway for each student to land at the perfect college.
